The Estate
Can Martorell encompasses a beautifully appointed main house complemented by three charming guest houses, two swimming pools, and a private tennis court.
Main House - Ground Floor
Enter through elegant French doors onto the terrace, leading into an expansive living area dominated by a magnificent open fireplace. This welcoming space flows seamlessly into the "The Stable" - a fascinating two-story space that once housed livestock but now serve as an inviting secondary living area. The formal dining area accommodates up to eight guests around an impressive table featuring authentic 18th-century chairs.
The heart of the home is a bright, spacious country kitchen, completely outfitted to serious cooking enthusiasts. Practical amenities include dual dishwashers, three refrigerators/freeser units, and a walk-in pantry providing ample storage. A convenient laundry area with washer and dryer completes the domestic facilities. Additional ground floor features include a quit study and a bathroom with shower.
Upper Levels
The first floor houses four bedrooms - three doubles and one single - all with wardrobes, plus two full bathrooms with shower facilities. One of master bedrooms features custom bookshelves displaying some of Jan's literary collection.
The second floor reveals the ultimate master suite, complete with extensive fitted storage, a cozy seating area with fireplace, and a dedicated study lined with more of Jan's personal books. The luxurious en-suite bathroom showcases exposed pine beams along the sloping ceiling and includes both a soaking tub and separate shower.
Outdoor Living Spaces
Two distinct terrace areas offer different experiences. The traditional Spanish patio, enclosed within private gardens, features comfortable
loung seating and a striking marble dining table for 6-8 guests. This intimate space leads directly to the main swimming pool (10m x 6m, 4m deep) complete with diving board, surrounding sun loungers, tables, large parasol and an outdoor shower.
A magnificent olive tree provides natural shade creating the perfect spot to enjoy refreshing drinks while taking in the spectacular mountain vistas.
Entertaining Areas
While a compact barbecue station with storage sits adjacent to the main house, the premier outdoor cooking experience awaits by the other pool area. Here, an extensive BBQ facility with generous storage serves the summer kitchen and can accommodate up to 22 guests, complete with a nearby lounge area where friends can gather around the grill master.
